On your Loading & End Screens, you can customize interactive elements exactly the same way you do with nodes by double-clicking the screen to open the editor. The only difference is that screens do not hold video, only images.
Background Image – You can create a background image by dragging an image from the Library to the screen. The image will be automatically expanded or shrunk to fit the 1280 x 720 screen size.
You can remove the image by choosing a different image or “None” in the Screen Settings panel. To remove the image, exit the Screen Editor and select screen asset > ‘none’ in the drop-down menu.
The Loading Screen will appear before a video plays, and its image will be used as the project’s thumbnail. This screen can provide information about the upcoming video, simple instructions for how to interact, a call-to-action or a background image. If you do create a Loading Screen make sure to have a play button that prompts the Interlude video to begin.
The primary components of the Loading Screen include:
- Background Image — usually a subdued design and some text. Use a picture size of of 1280X720 so if will fit the screen. Best to keep text to a minimum but make sure to explain how you want users to interact with the video. This image will also function as the project’s thumbnail in social sharing.
- Play Button — something for users to click if not on auto-play.
The End Screen appears at the end of the video experience. Aside from the background image (use image size of 1280X720) and/or graphic , we have set up the End Screen to offer viewers all or any combination of the following actions:
- Create a new version – watch the video again and make different selections (“An Active Version”)
- Copy direct link
- Copy embed code
